The Great Horned Owl

September Slumber...Taken in the wild in Crooked River Ranch, Central Oregon. This Owl, along with its mate were taking a rest in a Juniper Tree in my backyard. Truly an outstanding site! Submitted November 5, 2009

A most beautiful and rare sighting! How fortunate the photographer is to have had the opportunity to gaze upon God's Creation in the peace of their own backyard.

Wow, what a great shot of a raptor that is hardly ever availlable for sightings, much less photos, during the day. Great job!
