The tree blew over during the windstorm earlier in the day. McKnight said the house was built in 1923, and he believes the tree is about the same age. A weather spotter for the National Weather Service reported a gust of 52 mph in southwest Bend just before 10 a.m. Friday, but winds are expected to be lighter today.
